A SANCTUARY FOR WELLNESS, CULTURE, ART & COMMUNITY

An oasis for wellness, creativity, and cultural preservation, built on community care and deep respect for the land.

Nestled in the heart of Cahuita, Caribbean Costa Rica, Eternal Roots Village is an emerging sanctuary dedicated to wellness, cultural preservation, and regenerative community living. This lush, five-acre jungle retreat, just minutes from the Caribbean’s most pristine beaches, is the shared vision of local entrepreneur Jahman Brown and his wife, wellness visionary, Jessi Marino, who are stewarding this land with deep reverence alongside a growing local and global community.

Beyond this sacred space, they have also acquired nine acres of fertile farmland in the nearby mountains, which will soon provide fresh, nourishing food for the village, aligning with their commitment to self-sufficiency, sustainability, and local empowerment.

BRINGING THE VISION TO LIFE

Together, Jessi and Jahman are cultivating a living, breathing oasis, a place for village-style jungle luxe stays, immersive retreats, festivals, community events, healing arts, and soul-nourishing connections.

Your Sponsorship or attendence of the Wild Essence Festival will help build the shala, casitas, retreat spaces, and regenerative gardens—creating a space where transformation and community thrive.

Ethics + Integrity Statement

At Eternal Roots, we walk with the understanding that perfection is not the goal; accountability, awareness, and right relationship are.

We acknowledge that we are operating in a world shaped by colonization and capitalism. These forces live in our systems and bodies, and we don’t pretend we can erase them. What we can do is remain committed to how we choose to show up inside of these realities.

We are rooted in Caribbean Costa Rica, a region facing the impacts of gentrification and displacement. As foreigners and locals come together here, we are actively choosing to do things differently—to build in a way that honors the people who have lived, loved, and labored here for generations.

That means:

Prioritizing local leadership in decision-making and vision-holding

Creating jobs and keeping money in the hands of the local community

Partnering with Costa Rican families and elders to preserve cultural practices and local rhythms

Offering benefits and opportunities to those who want to collaborate in a way that feels mutually respectful

Yes, foreigners will make money here. That’s already happening, everywhere. We aren’t trying to stop it; we’re here to shift the how. Profit doesn’t have to come at the cost of dignity, culture, or extraction. Our commitment is to do business in a way that feels honorable, relational, and deeply respectful to the people who call this land home.

We welcome feedback from those directly impacted, especially from the local Costa Rican community. We’re open to conversations that are rooted in respect, collaboration, and shared learning. We also acknowledge that “better” is always subjective, there is no one right way. Our priority will always be the voices of local families first, especially when navigating tensions, critique, or choices that affect the broader community.

We are here to listen, to evolve, and to remain in conversation with the complexity of building something that aspires to be both deeply rooted and responsibly resourced.
